Its Starch segment processes and refines agricultural raw materials, such as corn, wheat, and potatoes into starch products that are used in the food and beverage, paper, textile, cosmetics, building materials, and other non-food industries. The Sugar segment processes sugar beets; refines raw cane sugar; and offers a range of granulated sugar and sugar specialty products, and fertilizers, as well as produces animal feedstuff. It also produces bioethanol for blending and betaine products. The company sells its products for use in sweets, non-alcoholic beverages, and pharmaceutical applications; and to consumers through food retailers.
