Donald Trump said he would end Kamala Harris’s “war on crypto” on the 16th anniversary of the release of the bitcoin whitepaper. The Republican presidential candidate wished bitcoin fans a “Happy 16th Anniversary of Satoshi’s White Paper” on his social-media platform Truth Social and Elon Musk’s X.com. On Oct. 31, 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto, the pseudonymous creator of bitcoin, released a nine-page whitepaper outlining the technical details of how a new digital-currency called bitcoin would work.
