Should the election shake investors? One strategist's answer
With uncertainty around who could take the White House in 2025, investors may adjust their financial plans accordingly.
Carson Group chief market strategist Ryan Detrick joins Morning Brief to talk about whether the firm is preparing portfolios for November's election results or any policy changes in 2025.
"We're not making any changes to our views on just what might happen in Washington. Let's be clear, but I do want to point out this, you know, this was the best first six months to an election year since 1976. Normally, the first half of election years aren't all that great."
He follows that up with: "You know what Eisenhower said, 'plans are useless, but planning is everything.' Plan for some scary headlines ahead of this election. But the underlying pinnings of the economy are still solid, so we still think it's a bull market."
