Hospitality group Accor is set to expand its presence in Japan with the signing of its flagship premium Pullman brand to Tokyo's Ginza district.

The new Pullman Tokyo Ginza is scheduled to open its doors in late 2027.

The signing of this property marks a milestone in Accor’s expansion across Asia and Japan.

It will offer 145 guestrooms and a range of facilities including an all-day dining restaurant, a destination bar, a gym, a Lobby Lounge and a Club Lounge.

Additionally, the hotel will provide flexible spaces for meetings and events.

Accor Asia Premium, Midscale, and Economy Division chief operating officer Garth Simmons said: “The signing of Pullman Tokyo Ginza reinforces Accor’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for premium accommodation in Japan.

“Its prime location, with high visibility and a constant influx of visitors from around the world, ensures that the hotel will establish itself as a key player in the Japanese hospitality market.”

This development follows the announcement of the Raffles Hotels & Resorts debut in Tokyo, expected to open in 2028.

It will open as part of the redevelopment of Tokyo’s World Trade Center in the Hamamatsuchō district.

Accor's current Japanese portfolio comprises 45 hotels, offering a total of 11,635 rooms across various segments, from luxury and lifestyle to premium, midscale, and economy.

The group also has a pipeline of four properties that are expected to open by 2029.

The company operates more than 5,700 properties and 10,000 dining venues in more than 110 countries, and offers smart technology and eco-certified designs.
