Biden says bipartisan infrastructure bill must be paired with separate budget measure
WASHINGTON, June 24 (Reuters) - U.S. President Joe Biden said on Thursday he would sign a bipartisan infrastructure package into law only if a separate large-scale budget bill Democrats are planning to fund other parts of his agenda reaches his desk as well.
"I expect that in the coming months this summer, before the fiscal year is over, that we will have voted on this (bipartisan) bill - the infrastructure bill - as well as voted on the budget resolution," he told reporters at the White House.
"But if only one comes to me, I'm not signing it. It's in tandem." (Reporting by Andrea Shalal; Writing by Tim Ahmann)
