“What I love about this brand is that the foundations are great,” Audier said. “It starts with product and customer service, and now there’s an opportunity to bring a little bit more branding, a little bit more marketing in a way and creating a community around the brand.”
Audier has worked in the fashion and beauty industries for more than 20 years. Her previous roles include chief marketing officer at Coach, global brand president at Philosophy, vice president of marketing at Lanc?me and assistant vice president at Kiehl’s, among others.
According to With Clarity, Audier’s expertise lie in business development, e-commerce, strategic marketing, advertising and product innovation.
“Marie’s extensive experience growing brands in apparel and beauty will propel our ambitions to create a lifestyle diamond jewelry brand,” said Anubh Shah, cofounder of With Clarity. “Our direct-to-consumer approach to attainable luxury coupled with her deep knowledge of consumer brands will unlock new milestones for With Clarity.”
The CEO said she is leveraging her prior experience to continue With Clarity’s strengths in product and customer service, specifically at a time when the lab-grown diamond industry continues to flourish.
“When you think about the market, there’s a big revolution going on with the new brands coming from the fact that there’s more and more lab-grown diamonds,” she said. “You can see the different forces going on between heritage brands with natural diamonds and lab-grown diamonds. It reminded me a bit of the e-commerce revolution that happened a few years back. The initial reaction we could see in the more luxury brands initially, which it’s all about redefining what exclusivity is about. For me, that always brings a lot of opportunity when there’s disruption like that in markets.”
Audier stated that she’s looking at retail growth through an opportunity-based lens. With Clarity opened its first storefront last year in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood.
