No more pay gaps when I'm done: Salesforce CEO
Salesforce (NYSE: CRM) CEO Marc Benioff is taking radical steps to eradicate gender inequality in the cloud-computing company.
In an interview with Huffington Post earlier this week, Benioff said he is reviewing the company's payroll records and dishing out raises to women when necessary. His goal is to make sure women get paid the same as men.
"I expect to be giving a lot more," he said. "When I'm done, there will be no (pay) gap."

The move falls in line with the company's Women's Surge initiative, which aims to make sure that women make up at least 30 percent of the attendees at any meeting, according to Huffington Post.
Diversity figures released by the company reveal men make up 71 percent of the firm's workforce. The discrepancy more widely reflected in technology-related and leadership roles: men account for 80 percent of the company's tech field, 85 percent of its leadership roles and 68 percent of non-tech positions, according to Salesforce's employee data.
Benioff is not one to shy away from controversial political and social issues. Last month, he spoke out against Indiana's Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which give businesses authority to use faith as a reason to deny services to gay and lesbians.
Benioff publicly denounced the legislation, calling it anti-gay and an determent to hiring top talent.
