Winners and losers
Stocks on the move lower today include freight shipper C.H. Robinson as JPMorgan initiates coverage with an underweight rating, Stamps.com after a Capital Forum report said the company faces “significant regulatory risk,” and Twitter after SunTrust downgraded the stock, claiming user growth and engagement face challenges.
Stocks swinging higher include energy infrastructure company MLP Kinder Morgan, up on the sale of a pipeline stake to Southern Company; casino operator Las Vegas Sands as analysts see Macau traffic and revenue improving; and Tesla Motors, following founder Elon Musk’s claim that he will be revealing part two of his “Top Secret Tesla Master Plan” this week.
Looking ahead
At 10 a.m. ET, we’ll get more data on the jobs front with the Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey, or JOLTS report, for May. In the prior month we saw nearly 5.8 million job openings.
At the same time, we’ll also get wholesale inventory figures for May. The consensus estimate is for inventories to rise a modest 0.2% month to month.
Finally, the Fed-speak ramps up tomorrow with James Bullard, Neel Kashkari, and Loretta Mester all set to deliver speeches on Tuesday.
