U.S. Second Quarter GDP Growth Confirmed at 4.2%
Investing.com - The rate of U.S. economic growth was confirmed at 4.2% in the second quarter, notching its best performance in nearly four years, according to data released on Thursday.
Gross domestic product increased at a 4.2% annualized rate, the Commerce Department said in its third estimate of GDP growth for the three months to June.
That was slightly up from the 4.1% pace of expansion it reported in July and was the fastest rate since the third quarter of 2014.
It was nearly double the 2.2% expansion registered in the January-March period.
