The US election is almost upon us and the outcome is likely to have consequences for investors and global markets.

There have been signs the markets are pricing in a Trump win, although some polls suggest the presidential candidates are neck and neck.

Both presidential candidates' economic policies have faced intense scrutiny as they each try and win over the US public.

Donald Trump has insisted that if he becomes US president he will focus on deregulation, slashing taxes and "ending" inflation. Among Kamala Harris's policies are a pledge to raise corporation tax from 21% to 28%, as well as hike taxes for high earners and big business.

Do you think a Trump win will benefit global markets more? Or will a Harris victory make a bigger splash?

Have your say in our poll.
