Vale S.A. has reported a temporary halt to operations at its On?a Puma nickel plant due to damage from strong winds to the local power network, with no safety incidents and an expected power restoration by October 15. The company anticipates a minor impact on nickel production for the fourth quarter of 2024 but maintains its previously issued production guidance.
