For the first time, Americans across the nation have the chance to legally bet on US election outcomes. Predictions market platform Kalshi is seeing users wager over $200 million on the race with Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump as the main title card.

“The demand has absolutely exploded," Kalshi CEO Tarek Mansour tells Yahoo Finance on Election Day Eve. Kalshi’s platform shows more bettors seeing Trump winning the election, yet “the average bet size on Trump has been slightly lower than the average bet size on Kamala”, says Mansour.

Mansour reassuring that there is no form of manipulation going on right now for this “extremely” tight presidential race.
