FAFSA's (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online systems continue to face disruptions, delaying when students receive their financial aid packages which could determine whether they can afford college this fall semester or entire school year.
ScholarshipOwl director of student advocacy Jennifer Finetti joins Wealth! to give insights into the FAFSA situation and what students should focus on for affording their future college educations:
"Next year's FAFSA, unfortunately, is going to be delayed as well. They just announced this, that it's going to be delayed as well. So you know what I tell students? What I've been telling them all year and what I'm telling high school seniors is try not to focus on FAFSA so much. Yes, submit the FAFSA when it's available to you, but focus on other ways that you can take more control of your financial future."
