Inflation rose in October, in line with forecasts

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) report shows inflation rose slightly in October. The index rose 0.2% month over month and 2.6% from last year. The core reading, which strips out more volatile food and energy prices, rose 0.3% from September and 3.3% from a year ago. All of the readings were in line with the Bloomberg consensus estimates.
