Macy's rejects takeover, FAA eyes more Boeing planes: Yahoo Finance Live
Macy's (M) has rejected a nearly $6 billion takeover proposal from Arkhouse Management and Brigade Capital. The retailer rejected the bid over both financing concerns and valuation. More Boeing (BA) planes are falling under scrutiny this morning. The FAA recommended that airlines operating 737-900ER jets inspect the aircraft because they use the same door plug as the 737 Max 9, which is currently under investigation after a door panel blew off an Alaska Airlines (ALK) flight several weeks ago. On Wall Street, investors are hoping the recent rally holds after the S&P 500 (^GSPC) closed at an all-time high Friday. Yahoo Finance trending tickers include Netflix (NFLX), PayPal (PYPL), and Alibaba (BABA).
