OpenAI eyes a business restructuring: Reuters

OpenAI is looking to make some big changes to its business. According to a report from Reuters, the ChatGPT maker is looking to shift its core business to a for-profit benefit corporation that will no longer be controlled by its nonprofit board. The report states that the nonprofit group would have a stake in the for-profit company, as would OpenAI founder Sam Altman. The Reuters report came shortly after OpenAI Chief Technology Officer Mira Murati announced she was leaving the company.

Yahoo Finance Tech Editor Dan Howley reports the details.
