Investors got a mixed picture of the labor market on Thursday morning as the ADP National Employment Report fell to its lowest level since 2021, and initial jobless claims came in at 227,000, just slightly under the expected 230,000. The ISM Services PMI data showed the services sector expanded in August while the unemployment index fell.
All eyes are on Friday’s jobs report, the first since July’s print ignited fears of a recession as the unemployment rate hit 4.3%.
Meanwhile, shares of Tesla (TSLA) are climbing after announcing that it will roll out its Full Self-Driving technology in Europe and China during the first quarter of 2025.
