S&P flash US services PMI (Purchasing Managers' Index) for September was 55.4 versus the 55.2 economists polled by Bloomberg were expecting. However, it's still less than the 55.7 in August. The S&P flash US manufacturing PMI for September was 47.0, far weaker than the 48.6 economists were expecting. It compares to 47.9 in August.
