Stocks fall on hot inflation print, Meta unveils latest AI chip: Yahoo Finance

In This Article:

All three of the major indexes (^DJI, ^IXIC, ^GSPC) are falling after the March Consumer Price Index report showed prices rose more than expected last month. Prices rose 0.4% from February and 3.5% from last year. Both measures were higher than economists had been expecting. The data has led to traders mostly ruling out a rate cut at the Federal Reserve’s June meeting. One stock on the move is Meta Platforms (META). The social media company unveiled its latest Meta Training and Inference Accelerator, which is designed to work with the company’s ranking and recommendation models. Other trending tickers on Yahoo Finance include Delta Air Lines (DAL), Boeing (BA), and Alibaba Group (BABA).
