Tampa Electric has 5,800 workers ready for post-Milton restoration

Hurricane Milton is expected to make landfall with Florida's Gulf Coast anytime between Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Some experts have already projected damages from the storm — which has reportedly weakened to a Category 3 — to be as high as $121 billion.

Tampa Electric CEO and President Archie Collins explains the post-Milton energy grid restoration will be "the biggest in in our history," already having 5,800 nationwide utility workers on standby and ready to get to work as soon as the hurricane passes.
