Nasdaq slips, Chicago Fed President Austan Goolsbee speaks to Yahoo Finance
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSM) reported better-than-expected second quarter results and raised its full-year revenue forecast. The report initially gave chip stocks, like Nvidia (NVDA) and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), a boost, but as the morning progressed, they reversed course and helped drag the Nasdaq (^IXIC) lower. Overall, stocks have been trending higher in recent days as investors bet the Federal Reserve will start cutting rates in September.
At 10 a.m. ET, Chicago Fed President Austan Goolsbee will speak with Yahoo Finance about his thoughts on rates and inflation.
