United Airlines (UAL) reported better-than-expected third quarter results. The company posted adjusted earnings of $3.33 per share, topping the Bloomberg consensus estimate of $3.07. Operating revenue of $14.84 billion was better than the $14.72 billion expected by the Street. The airline also announced it was buying back up $1.5 billion worth of shares.
