Amid recent Fed rate cuts, see-saw earnings reports, and the US election, many are wondering what's next for the markets. In this episode of Stocks In Translation, Yahoo Finance Markets and Data Editor Jared Blikre and Producer Sydnee Fried sit down with Peter Borish, Computer Trading Corporation Chairman and CEO, to discuss his thoughts on what's next for the US economy.
"I don't even know if I'd call it a landing... We're going into a different environment. And so there's this gigantic tug of war. If you're going to have higher rates, on the one hand, that's deflationary for marginal demand, and you've seen that in some commodities... So that's ironically helped increase demand for those non-products, hence gold, bitcoin, and other things. So that's the tug of war."
In this episode, the team goes on to discuss just what this "tug of war" means for stocks and how you can protect your money, as well as the outlook for other key assets such as gold (GC=F), bitcoin (BTC-USD), and much more.
Twice a week, Stocks In Translation cuts through the market mayhem, noisy numbers and hyperbole to give you the information you need to make the right trade for your portfolio. You can find more episodes here, or watch on your favorite streaming service.
