Why stocks may get hammered if Trump wins

Election Day is almost here. And with that will come an end to one of the most divisive runs for the presidency in American history. Investors will be able to move on, hopefully putting more stock in a company's fundamentals than a Donald Trump post on Truth Social or an Elon Musk post on X, formerly Twitter. Moving on from the election will bring with it a host of inevitable risks and rewards for investors. Finding the rewards rather than the risks will be no easy achievement even for the most seasoned investor. Yahoo Finance executive editor Brian Sozzi talks at length with veteran investor, author, and founder of The Bear Traps Report Lawrence McDonald. McDonald – who is the author of the new book How to Listen When Markets Speak – outlines his biggest concerns about markets following the election. He also details areas of potential opportunity in the face of numerous fiscal and monetary challenges.
