Accor has announced the start of construction of The Sofitel Dublin Airport Hotel in Ireland, in partnership with the Arora Group.

Set to begin operations by late 2026, the hotel will offer 412 designed rooms and suites, an all-day dining restaurant, a tea salon, and a sky bar on the 11th floor. It will also feature a fitness centre, and meeting and event spaces, including a ballroom and eight meeting rooms.

The Sofitel Dublin Airport Hotel is set to be a full-service luxury hotel directly connected to Dublin Airport's Terminal 2 (T2).

Sofitel CEO Maud Bailly said: “Sofitel Dublin Airport will represent our first Sofitel hotel in Ireland, a milestone that allows us to bring our unique blend of French luxury and marks a new step in the deep connection between our two countries.”

The Arora Group was selected to develop the hotel, valued at over €100m ($129m), following a bidding process by daa (Dublin Airport Authority) in 2018.

daa CEO Kenny Jacobs said: “We are fully focused on improving standards and options for passengers at Dublin Airport and a world-class hotel that is directly linked to T2 is great news for them. It's also good news for local suppliers and jobs, with the hotel set to create hundreds of new jobs during both the construction phase and when it opens.”

The Arora Group is an Accor franchise partner in the UK and the owner of the Sofitel London Heathrow Airport and the Sofitel London Gatwick Airport.

A franchised development project, the Sofitel Dublin Airport Hotel is the group’s first hotel development outside the UK and the third joint project with Sofitel Hotels & Resorts.

Last month, Accor partnered with Perth Airport to operate a Pullman-branded hotel, expected to open in 2027.

Additionally, Accor has signed a new project, the Sofitel Sapa Hotel & Residences, which will introduce the luxury brand to northern Vietnam with a planned opening in 2030.
