Discount variety chain Dollar Tree announced Rick Dreiling has stepped down as chief executive officer and chairman, citing health concerns. Chief operating officer Michael Creedon Jr. has been appointed interim CEO, while Edward “Ned” Kelly, lead independent director, has been elected chairman. The board is searching for a permanent CEO.

Sneaker-centric marketplace StockX announced Scott Cutler will step down as chief executive officer, effective Dec. 31. The board of directors named Greg Schwartz, the company’s co-founder, president and chief operating officer, as the next CEO of StockX, effective Jan. 1, 2025.

Culter—one of the platform’s earliest investors who previously served as an advisor before becoming CEO in June 2019—will resume his role as advisor, working closely with Schwartz for the balance of the year to facilitate a smooth transition. As a co-founder, Schwartz has served as StockX’s COO since its inception. In this new role, he will continue to extend the company’s reach via brand growth, category diversification and market expansion.
