Tech giant Apple (AAPL) launched its highly anticipated Worldwide Developers Conference today, unveiling new generative AI features in its iOS 18 update. Creative Strategies CEO and Principal Analyst Ben Bajarin joins Market Domination to share his outlook on Apple's new innovations.
Bajarin notes that "most people are not using generative AI in any form on a daily basis," so as Apple seeks to implement this technology into iPhones, the most crucial narrative emerging from the event will be "how Apple brings this front and center and actually makes it useful."
Though some speculated Apple was entering the AI race late, Bajarin is unconcerned with the company's timeline: "I think it shows that whether they were behind or not, they're releasing it at the right time," he tells Yahoo Finance. "This is the time where I think Apple can take this to the mainstream to all consumers and find value in their workflows ... I think the timing is exactly right."
